GoStrayCat Recollections

Welcome to my collection of past travel essays, documentaries, and photo montages. I visited all of these places before this blog was born, but the adventures are worth sharing…and are entertaining to say the least.  While the events and stories depict my actual recollections of true events, some of the names are changed to maintain the privacy of those involved.  Access a destination from the drop-down menu that appears when you hover over GoStrayCat Recollections, or simply click on the high-lighted name that interests you as you continue reading.

You could start off your tour in Laubach, Germany, as I did on one of my European trips.  While you are there stop off and do some shopping on Zeil in Frankfurt.  Then visit Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris.  It’s easy to go by train to reach them.  But don’t leave Europe without visiting Rome and England!  Then warm your toes with me in Bermuda, St. Thomas, and Punta Cana before heading off to Cancún, Mexico.  Comb Panama in search of your very own Panama Hat.  Maybe sight-see a bit in San Diego and then visit the glaciers of Alaska.  A quick getaway to Florida and a swim with the dolphins could be fun!  Or maybe you’re a United States history buff and Washington, D.C. would interest you?  Philadelphia also sports a lot of culture.  Did you miss Mardi Gras?  Try the Mermaid Parade in Brooklyn, NY as an alternative.  And don’t forget to go to the luau in Hawaii.  Whatever order you choose, I hope your journey with me is worth the read.  ~Kat
